Close bite
Left click is mostly a close-range bite. With only 50 bite force on a 6000 kg animal, it is not the core of the kit: Stego is defined by its tail. Bite is for finishing a very small threat or correcting when the head is already committed.

Stegosaurus
This profile gathers useful information for choosing this dinosaur, understanding its role, and preparing a Gateway session.
Play style
Stegosaurus plays like a herbivore fortress. It does not try to chase carnivores: it claims space, protects its head, keeps the tail oriented toward the threat, and turns every enemy approach into a dangerous bet. Its ideal game is slow, readable, and disciplined: choose open terrain, stay near the herd, save stamina, pivot before striking, then punish only when the opponent has overcommitted. Young Stegos should stay cautious and social; adults become one of the island's strongest deterrents.
Play style
Left click is mostly a close-range bite. With only 50 bite force on a 6000 kg animal, it is not the core of the kit: Stego is defined by its tail. Bite is for finishing a very small threat or correcting when the head is already committed.
Right click triggers the official Tail impale attack. Its direction is aimed with the camera. In practice, Stego does not chase: it keeps its rear or side dangerous, waits for the enemy to commit, then swings when the carnivore can no longer cleanly cancel the approach.
Power swing is the heavy punish. It commits more than a quick swing and should be saved for predators that are already trapped: too close, blocked by an ally, exiting a bite, or pinned by terrain. Missing a power swing opens a real punish window.
The whole Stego sheet starts with orientation. Keep the tail toward the threat, protect the head, pivot calmly, and avoid giving free angles. A good Stego often wins before the hit: it forces the other player to choose between waiting, flanking, or entering tail range.
Like other large prey, Stego needs to answer pounces without panicking. The right habit is to keep enough stamina, avoid useless spinning, shake off pressure, then recover tail orientation.
Selection-screen data: Diet DT_Herbivore, Preferred Food Marigold, Sumac, Pumpkin. Basic Max Weight 6000.0, Basic Max Speed 807.0, Basic Max Bite Force 50.0, Basic Max Group Size 5. Official EVRIMA patch 0.6.15.18 adds Stegosaurus as a playable species. Official EVRIMA patch 0.6.15.18 describes Tail impale as a right-click ability whose direction is aimed with the camera. Official patch 0.20.117 fixes Stegosaurus power swing so it no longer hits abnormal locations in front of the body, confirming ongoing official support for the heavy attack. Older official notes listed a different group limit, but the current selection screen shows 5. The sheet therefore keeps 5 as the observed in-game value.
Evrima Quick Guide and community data match the general profile: massive herbivore, very slow, extremely punishing on contact. Adult community speed values vary by update; the current selection screen shows 807 raw speed. Community guides describe Stegosaurus as an apex defender: it does not win by chasing, but by denying access and punishing bad entries. Internal app conversion: 807 x 0.036 = 29.1 km/h. Some community sources list closer to 26 km/h; this sheet keeps the value from the current selection screen.
