Land claws
On land, left click triggers the claw attack. Current community data suggests it can apply bleed, but Beipi is too light to seek real duels. Use it to buy a window, then return to water or vegetation.

Beipiaosaurus
This profile gathers useful information for choosing this dinosaur, understanding its role, and preparing a Gateway session.
Play style
Beipiaosaurus plays like a small amphibious omnivore. On land it is fragile and should avoid long duels. In water it gains identity: search banks, dive, breach, catch small prey, disappear below the surface, and swap banks when pressure rises. Its good rhythm is opportunistic: stay near an aquatic exit, watch oxygen, never forget Deinosuchus, and use vertical mobility to make water a refuge instead of a trap.

On land, right click performs the beak attack. In water, left click also becomes a beak attack. This is not a heavy dueling weapon: it is for catching a small target, correcting a line, or harassing something too close to the surface.
In water, right click performs the claw attack. This is its best aquatic contact tool: it can attack while swimming, during a breach, or just after leaving the surface. It is still fragile, so the goal is poke and leave, not stay in the brawl.
Holding space in water chains leaps and breaches the surface. The more speed and depth Beipi has, the higher the breach can be. It works as escape, repositioning, and sometimes a surprise attack against a target flying too low over water.
Ctrl at the bottom of the water latches onto the riverbed. Once latched, Beipi can move along the bottom without immediately floating up, then use space to release and rise. This is useful for following banks, avoiding surface attention, or preparing an exit.
Scent helps find underwater resources, especially crabs. Beipi should think like a small amphibious opportunist: search, eat quickly, watch oxygen, then change banks before a Deinosuchus or land predator locks the area.

Basic Max Weight 90.0, Basic Max Speed 889.0, Basic Max Bite Force 20.0, Basic Max Group Size 10. Update #6.5 / 0.11.53.07 adds Beipiaosaurus as a playable class and introduces the omnivore category. Update #6.5 adds foraging mechanics to Beipiaosaurus and Gallimimus, confirming its role as an opportunistic finder rather than a simple fighter. The official Update #6.5 presentation describes Beipiaosaurus as an aquatic-realm creature that breaches the surface and dives for prey along riverbeds. Patch 0.21.734 fixes Beipiaosaurus swimming animation issues, showing continued official support for its aquatic behavior.
Evrima Quick Guide matches the current identity: a small semi-aquatic omnivore, agile in water, naturally buoyant, able to latch to the riverbed, breach the surface, and forage underwater. Community guides present it as a transition species: it dominates neither land nor major waterways, but survives by using both environments better than many other small playables. Community data gives about 2.2 m in length and confirms a very light profile: 90 kg adult, mobile and discreet, but vulnerable to any serious contact. Internal app conversion: 889 x 0.036 = 32.0 km/h. This matches community sheets that place the adult around 32 km/h.
