Tail swing
Left click performs the main tail swing. Kentro does not fight through a frontal bite: it presents its body, turns its tail toward the threat, and punishes short angles with its spikes.

Kentrosaurus
This profile gathers useful information for choosing this dinosaur, understanding its role, and preparing a Gateway session.
Play style
Kentrosaurus plays like a mobile fortress. It does not try to catch everyone: it chooses an angle, keeps its tail dangerous, moves patiently, and lets carnivores make the mistake of coming too close. Its best fight is one where the enemy hesitates: bite the spikes and get hurt, wait too long and Kentro repositions, enter badly and power swing can flip the trade.
Play style
Left click performs the main tail swing. Kentro does not fight through a frontal bite: it presents its body, turns its tail toward the threat, and punishes short angles with its spikes.
Holding right click prepares a power swing, then left click releases it. The attack commits more heavily than a small swing, but it brutally punishes a predator entering the tail arc at the wrong moment.
Spikes deal reflection damage when an opponent bites or collides with the wrong zones. In practice, Kentro gains a lot by staying calm: well oriented, it can sometimes let the enemy hurt itself before the real swing even lands.
Defensive stance refuses the classic frontal duel. Kentro becomes harder to engage cleanly, exposes its spikes better, and forces predators to choose between waiting, flanking, or taking contact damage.
From defensive stance, tail swing punishes close approaches without needing to chase. It is the zoning tool: protect the space around you, keep your rear dangerous, then make carnivores pay for looking for a free bite.
Selection-screen data: Diet DT_Herbivore, Preferred Food Marigold, Sumac, Pumpkin. Basic Max Weight 1950.0, Basic Max Speed 1100.0, Basic Max Bite Force 30.0, Basic Max Group Size 5. Official patch 0.21.720 adds Kentrosaurus to EVRIMA and details its spiked defender identity. Official notes describe power swing as a charged strike: hold right click, then use attack to release the heavier punishment. The release patch presents Kentrosaurus with reflection damage: striking its spikes can punish the attacker directly. Official notes connect Kentrosaurus to defensive stance and reflected damage through its spikes.
Evrima Quick Guide matches the selection screen: 1950 kg, 39.6 km/h, 30 force, and a group limit of 5. It emphasizes power swing, defensive stance, and reflection damage. The Isle Field Guide describes Kentrosaurus as a defensive zone-control herbivore: dangerous when it keeps the right angle, much weaker when it panics or leaves flanks open. Community sources give about 5.5 m and confirm the role of a medium stegosaurian: less massive than Stego, but more mobile and very punishing on contact.
