Tiny bite
Simple left click performs a tiny bite. With 2 force, this is almost never an offensive plan: it is a last-resort tool against a tiny threat or a way to buy one second before escaping.

Hypsilophodon
This profile gathers useful information for choosing this dinosaur, understanding its role, and preparing a Gateway session.
Play style
Hypsilophodon plays like a living alarm with a bad temper. It is too small to win real duels, but annoying enough to save itself: spot danger early, keep a vertical exit, spit in the predator's face when it commits, then disappear before it recovers its read. A good Hypsi does not dominate an area; it simply makes hunting frustrating, loud, and expensive.

Holding left click prepares spit, then releasing sends the bile. The goal is not to kill: hit the eyes or head to blind and disorient the predator, then leave immediately. Hypsi spends a lot of food when spitting, so every missed shot has a cost.
Spacebar prepares a very vertical jump. It is a line-break tool: clear an obstacle, reach a surface, create an unexpected angle, or buy the second needed for a predator to miss its bite.
Holding right click aims at a climbable surface, then spacebar launches into a latch. Once attached, Hypsi can climb, perch out of reach, and even spit from position. Its survival often comes from having a good perch planned before panic starts.
Selection-screen data: Diet DT_Herbivore, Preferred Food Mango, ChanterelleMushroom, RadishRoot. Basic Max Weight 20.0, Basic Max Speed 1100.0, Basic Max Bite Force 2.0, Basic Max Group Size 10. Hypsilophodon has been one of EVRIMA's small playable herbivores since the early public updates. Official notes frame Hypsilophodon around defensive spit and small-herbivore mobility, designed to escape rather than hold fights. Official 0.20.109 notes add climbing to Hypsilophodon and describe latch as a real mobility extension. Later official updates fix and adjust latch, jumping, and Hypsi behavior while aiming or using a surface.
Evrima Quick Guide matches the selection screen: 20 kg, 39.6 km/h, 2 force, and a group limit of 10. It also details spit, jump, and latch as the core of current gameplay. Community sources describe Hypsilophodon as one of the smallest playables: extremely fragile, but able to disrupt a chase through spit and vertical movement. Control check: early official notes mentioned spit on right click, but current EVRIMA guides place spit on held left click, while right click mostly aims latch with spacebar.
