Primary bite
Simple left click remains the basic bite. Carno does not want to stay locked in contact for long, but it needs this bite to finish a knocked target, punish a failed dodge, or defend while it recovers its angle.

Carnotaurus
This profile gathers useful information for choosing this dinosaur, understanding its role, and preparing a Gateway session.
Play style
Carnotaurus plays as a straight-line predator. It chooses when the fight starts, forces the target to respect its speed, then converts a clean route into knockdown or stagger. The trap is thinking speed alone is enough: a good Carno always plans the exit, saves stamina, and refuses dense forests where its turning radius becomes a weakness.

Headbutt is triggered by holding right click and pressing left click while held. It can be used while standing or running, and depending on charge time and relative target size, it can stagger or knock down. This is the tool that turns a good straight line into a real punish window.
Carno has to prepare its line before committing. Speed is its weapon, but it needs readable terrain: choose the axis, keep an exit after impact, and avoid trees, rocks, or sharp turns that turn the charge into a gift for the opponent.
The alternate left-click attack is a faster, lower bite that costs stamina. It is mainly used to catch a small target, defend after a pass, or take a quick hit without restarting a full charge.

Official patch 0.21.321 says Carnotaurus headbutt is now activated by holding right click and pressing left click, while standing or running, with stagger or knockdown depending on charge time and relative size.
Evrima Quick Guide matches the selection screen: 1300 kg, 49.5 km/h, 150 bite force, and a pack limit of 3. Raw speed 1375 converts exactly to 49.5 km/h with the 0.036 multiplier. The Isle Field Guide describes Carno as a pursuit hunter that wins through clean approach lines, timing, and disciplined stamina use, especially in plains and open woodland.
